The Role of the Governing Body is to hold the Headteacher and the management team to account for the academic progress of pupils and the financial running of the school. They are part of the Leadership Team and they help to set the strategic direction and monitor the school.
You will see from the biographies of Governors they come from all walks of life and all make a significant input into the school community and the decision making. Governors attend half termly meetings, they consider reports and can join committees that oversee the Quality of Teaching, the school facilities and the school budget.
